The Blind Side
This book is about a young African American boy, Micheal Oher, who has grown up through poverty, in the worst side of Memphis Tn., Hurt Village, and to a crack addicted mother. At a young age Micheal was taken away from his mother by FBI athorities along with his brother. Michael wasn't a small man, he stood about 6'8" and 300 lbs, and had always been a fan of the game of football. Micheal's aunt and uncle, Big Tony, had gotten tired of taking care of him so his Big Tony had tried to find him a school to go to and finally succeeded after talking to the athletic coach, Hugh Freeze, of Briacrest Christain Collage. The staff and school board pulled a meeting with Coach Hugh because they feel that he isn't ellagible due to his grades are very low and his IQ is low as well, but Hugh has faith in "Big Mike". Although the board didn't agree they let Micheal in and he became a student. After a few weeks in school teachers began to notice that Micheal hadn't been making any progress with his work and they began talking to eachother about this Oher student. One teacher, Marilyn Beasly, Micheal's Biology teacher began wondering how she could find out what Micheal really does know. So she pulled Micheal into a small room and gave him a test verbally, and to her amazment he passed the test. Although, the other teachers didn't believe in him, Beasly began telling her fellow teachers that he does know what they have been teaching him, but he can't read nor write. One day, one of the other students and his family were driving by Micheal and the father, Sean Touhy, stopped to ask, Big Mike where he was going. "The Gym," Oher replied and he asked "Why" but Micheal said "Ball practice" and Mr. Touhy believed him and drove off, but as they got only a few hundred feet away the mother, Leigh Anne Touhy, said stop the car. The Touhy family drove back to Mike, Leigh Anne got out of the and stopped Mike to see really where he was going, "I'm going to the gym," Micheal said, "But the gym is closed, So really where are you going!!!" Leigh Anne exclaims. "I'm goin to the gym," Micheal replied, "Why?" Leigh Anne exhailed, "It's warm," Micheal said.....................So the Touhy family took Micheal in and........You will have to read The Blind Side by Micheal Lewis or if your not a book reader then catch up with very close details from the movie, featuring Sanda Bullock.

From the knowlege obtained from the 1920's Research Paper
Although currently living in the 20th century, I wouldn't have wanted to live back in the 1920's. The boom of culture sounds interesting and also the automobile industry is a major part of my intrest. Music is a big hit during the 20's but most of all it was a humpy dumpty kind of situation. Like one decade its all good and the next humpty falls and cant be put back together again.

Holocaust

The term Holocaust comes from the Greek origin that means "sacrifice by fire" and to me this photo on the left is what I concider to be a Holocaust. Although this picture has nothing to to with the Nazi's killing the millions of Jews and this car wasn't sacrificed by fire, but in my eyes the driver of this 2010 Camaro SS sacrificed their vehicle to save someone else's life. Although, there wasn't a story found to go along with this picture but the police report said that the driver walked away without any injuries. As of the time this was published there wasn't another vehicle present at the time of the wreck, and police are investigating the cause. I've seen several drunk driving accidents and never in my life have I seen one this bad, so I don't feel the driver was drunk. On the other hand, by the sircumstances of the light pole this car had to be going well over 100+ mph in order to push the pole completley through the engine, transmition, front seats and finally stop in the middle of the back seat. Without anyother knowlege of the crash site I cannot comment or speculate any further. The Authour Elie Wiesel is one man who has been put through harder times than most people will ever see. At a young age him and his family had been deported to another country, but they could not stay together as a family, while him and his dad had been put with other men, his mother and sisters where put with another group and later the mother and youngest of the sisters died. Later on in this harsh life of Elie, president Jimmie Carter had assigned him to be the chairman of the Holocaust foundation and later, Elie and Mrs. Wiesel built their own organization, The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity.
In the early years of the Nazi regime, the National Socialist government established concentration camps to detain real and imagined political and ideological opponents. Increasingly years before the outbreak of war, SS and police officials incarcerated Jews, Roma, and other victims of nationality and ethnic groups in these camps.
This picture to the left reminds me of the holocaust because of the fact you can see the figure but in all reality there isn't a person in the figure its just a statue. The black represents the darkness they faced, the blue represents the perfect future that they were forced out of, and the white represents the blankness they had inorder to live through the harshness and sadness.Monday, March 15, 2010
Hopefully by 2012 Chevy will Produce the Camaro Z28!!!
Although the 2010 Camaro's are the hottest sports cars to hit the average city streets, in my oppion, if Chevrolet could stop messing around with the Camaro Z28 prototype and just fix the glitches, mass market it, and get it to the Car Lover's of America. I would go buy one and just maybe buy one for my wife, if she wanted one, as I'm sure many other car enthusiest like me would. Also the women out there who like cars as much as us guys do would buy em too.

To What Would You Have An Olympic-Size Commitment To?
This question has been brought up to me and its had me thinking. Well lets see just what I would commit myself to with as much effort as people do to make it all the way in the Olympic's.
One commitment I would put this much effort in achieving is to get back to being physically fit again, because its one achievment I want so much to complete. I've been heavy since the first year I went through the third grade, Yes I've been through twice, because I went through my first divorce with my parents and also I was rebelious to rules, so as a result I ate what I wanted and well weight took over, and I became a fat kid. Loseing weight isn't hard but keeping it off and becoming more physically fit is the main challenge I'm facing. Workouts that include cardio, muscle toneing, and fat burning are the main workouts that I'm trying to do so that when I get older and retirment gets around the corner, if our economy doesn't plumish, I'll be healthy enough to still work and not just live off retirement. In the future I hope to own a business and hopefully pass it down to my children, so that when the time comes I die then my kids will have an inheritence with the possibility of having money.

The main character, Amir, was a wealthy Afghani who didn't learn from this past. Amir watched his half brother, Hassan, get raped and did nothing, and he didn't even tell his father becuase Amir was too selfish. Although Hassan saved Amir from getting beat up many times and he ran to get the great 'trophy kite', meanwhile getting raped Amir wouldn't help him or let anyone know so that they could get Hassan help.

Civil Wars
Civil wars are all around us everyday we live. Civil wars include your basic sibling fights, to relationship fights, to conflict fights and even your school rivalries. Although we don't pay attention to most of these fights because we see them day in and day out, someone gets hurt from the simple brusies to the major emotional hurt. Some of these we don't see daily we stop to watch or after it happens it's the main topic that people talk about until something new comes up.
Dear John by Nicholas Sparks
Dear John is a love story between a current U.S. Marine and a sweethearted little christian girl, who meet on the beach during John's leave for duty. As most men in the armed forces, John is a muscular, and sometimes aggressive soldier, but Savannah is a small town church girl. As this story develops Savannah and some of her friends were hanging on the pier when accidently one of the guys leaned up against the railing and knocked her bag off into the ocean. Well, John is was not far from them when he over heard Savannah scream,"Oh no my bag!!!," and jumps off the side of the pier. Randy, the guy who knocked the bag off, hurled himself down the dock to retrieve the bag, but by his supprize John had already fetched it and was out of the water when he and Savannah got to the waters edge. On later in the story, Savannah and John start hanging out, having casual dates, working on the housing project together until John's leave is up. Before John leaves Savannah asked John to make her a promise, "Please write me everyday and tell me everything," "Okay?" So as John returns to the normal routine of serving his country, Savannah keeps helping with the housing project. After Johns tour is up, will he return to his summer love or will he return to find that Savannah has moved on?
I hope that this will inspire you to go read this book, Dear John by the best selling author Nicholas Sparks, and if you don't like to read just go rent the movie. But I have to confess that me myself don't like to read but this story wasn't one I could put down many times. The movie is great but just like all other books that come out before the movies, the book's always better than the movie.
